Luis Hergón

Luis is an actor, performer and artist in the independent performing arts scene and theatre pedagogue. Born in Tenerife with a professional career between Tenerife, Madrid, Berlin, Venice and Stuttgart, where he has lived and worked as a freelance artist since 2006. Drawn to dance and the art of movement, his work and own creations reflect the importance of the body in fusion with other artistic disciplines.

As an actor, he has participated in numerous productions, including Tanztheater Nina Kurzeja, Post Theater Berlin, MEINHARDT&KRAUSS, BLOMST! and Staatstheater Stuttgart.

As a theatre pedagogue, he carries out numerous projects for education and cultural mediation every year in cooperation with various institutions. He also organises projects for the formation of social skills, the prevention of violence and promotion of integration in the school environment, in which he uses theatre as a social tool.

As a director, he has worked for numerous seasons with the intercultural theatre group Forum der Kulturen e.V. and in his own productions.
