Lieve Vanderschaeve

Lieve was born in 1967 in Oudenaarde, Belgium, and now lives in Bonn. She studied mathematics (undergraduate) at the Rijksuniversiteit Gent and graduated in monumental painting at the LUCA art academy in Gent.

For 18 years, she has been producing video installations for theatres alongside her freelance work in her Bonn studio. In early 2020, for example, she created the stage objects and the video installation for the children's musical theatre Auf ins All at the Philharmonie Luxembourg. In 2018, she was again presented with a 3-channel video installation Waves at the Stadttheater Gießen. In addition to video work for various municipal theatres, she also works for the independent scene. With Tanzkompanie bokomplex she produced a mapped video installation for 77Beethoven, a dance theatre piece with live music by Marcus Schinkel and band, in September 2021. For Bad Honnef Tanzt e.V. she created videos for MOMO, among others. In 2018-2019 she created the crossover dance theatre Fright Fight Flight, a co-production of the dance companies T42 dance (CH) and bokomplex. She made 3D animated videos for it as well as the objects of the stage design. She accompanied Fright Fight Flight on tour (Cologne - Budapest - Bern - Zug - Basel) until June 2019. She collaborated with the dance company Animi Motus from Berlin for the dance solo LadyBird.
