The natural world has become the designable object of our technicised present. Empowered by ourselves, artificial systems take control of our life processes. The fallible human being watches the triumph of self-created perfection with unease and pride. How it ends remains unpredictable.

The dancers Alexandra Mahnke, Sawako Nunotani and Daura Hernández García enter the fluid, immaterial world of THE SECOND REALITY.

After the visually stunning productions "Und plötzlich stand die Sonne still", "DER ZOO IN UNS" and "als ES über uns kam", MEINHARDT&KRAUSS, the Stuttgart specialists for theatre&media, present the last part of their tetralogy on the great mortifications of humanity.

"Walls tilt, geometric bodies explode, sounds and voices overlap, dancers fall: The virtual total crash, which acoustically and visually takes the audience to the pain threshold, is followed by reanimation. (...)" (STZ)

 

 

"Graphic patterns become three-dimensional figures, climb up the back wall of the stage and there suddenly tip over into another plane. Bodies intertwine and with them the honeycomb patterns depicted on them, grow in height, stretch in width to archaic scraping and crunching.
